Am I Eligible?
I am currently finsihing my 3rd year teaching middle school math. In addition, I will be graduating with a Masters in Math Education from Brooklyn College this June.
From what I have read on the website, I would be catogorized inbetween the two programs you offer?
Having taught longer then accepted to do MfA Fellows and not having not taught long enough for the Master Teachers??
Am I correct on this? (I hope not!) :)

I understand an applicant to the Master Teacher program must have at least 4 years' teaching experience. I am currently in my 4th year and am wondering if I may apply now or if I have to wait until I have completed this year of teaching before I can apply.

Math Requirements
I have taken what I think would be enough math credits to meet the minimum requirement of 21, but I am not sure all of my classes would be considered above a calculus level. Is there any way to find this out before I apply?

I'm going to be studying abroad the year before I graduate and plan to apply to the MfA fellow program for 2011. Will this cause any problems with the application process? For example, I understand that the interviews are held early in the year, and I would still be abroad. Would I be reimbursed for travel expenses?

I was told at a the NYC Celebration of Teaching and Learning Conference (March 5-6, 2010)that I could qualify for this fellowship if I taught in Westchester County, but the website information indicates only NYC positions. I am a math teacher with 18 years in the classroom.
